We believe that you don't need a postcode in the hills to enjoy the slow, simple magic of the countryside. Our candles and wax melts are hand-poured in our studio to bring that rustic, lived-in charm straight to you, whether you’re based in the countryside or chasing that feeling in a city flat or a modern terrace.
Each scent is a little journey, crafted to help you carve out a cosy sanctuary and turn any room into a rural retreat. We are so proud to use 100% eco soy wax and fragrances with no nasties (you won't find any parabens or phthalates here!) so you can fill your home with beautiful scents and total peace of mind.

Meet The Team
Hello! We are Simona and Sean, the duo behind By The Pines. Our journey began in our kitchen out of a personal need for better, cleaner home fragrance. As someone who suffers from migraines (Simona) I found it difficult to find scents that didn't trigger a headache, while Sean’s asthma meant we had to be incredibly mindful of what we were burning. We set out to create high-quality, clean candles that we could finally enjoy ourselves without any compromise.
Today, we’ve turned that passion into a reality in our candle Studio based in Southport. Sean is our master maker, hand-pouring every candle and wax melt with precision and care. Simona is the one who ensures your treats arrive safely, beautifully packing every single order that leaves our studio. We are so happy to share our favourite scents with you!

We believe that receiving your order should be a highlight of your day, which is why we hand-pack every parcel in our studio to feel like a special gift. Your candles will arrive in a sturdy, fully recyclable cardboard box, nestled inside delicate tissue paper for a beautiful unboxing experience. To keep your items safe on their journey, we use biodegradable packing peanuts that dissolve in water or can be composted. From the tape to the internal protection, every single element of our packaging is 100% eco-friendly and recyclable, allowing you to enjoy your new scents with a completely clear conscience.
