The cottage kitchen is quiet, except for the satisfying crunch of crushed pistachios being sprinkled over a fresh batch of buns. As you lift the tray, the air becomes thick with the scent of toasted nuts and the rich, velvety warmth of almond cream. There is a beautiful, earthy depth to the kitchen this morning—a blend of golden dough and a subtle, tropical sweetness from a whisper of coconut. It is the feeling of a slow, indulgent start, where the morning light catches the vibrant green of the nuts and the house is filled with the aroma of an artisan bakery at its very best.

    Our candles are hand-poured in our little candle studio in Southport, and are crafted with vegan soy wax and housed in reusable glass jars. We use lead-free cotton wicks to ensure every light offers a beautifully clean, calm, and even burn.

    All our Cottage Kitchen jars come with a lid and come in a "By The Pines" cotton bag.

    SHIPPING

    As we are a small business we dispatch all orders within 1-2 working days of purchase Monday to Friday. Any orders placed on Thursday will be dispatched latest Monday the following week and any orders placed on Friday will be dispatched latest Tuesday the following week.

    We use Royal Mail tracked services for all our orders so you will have a choice of:

    Tracked 48 - When dispatched it can take 2-4 working days to arrive.

    or

    Tracked 24 - When dispatched it can take 1-2 working days to arrive.

    Once in a while Royal Mail can experience delays, which is sadly out of our hands, but we will do our best to support you if you are experiencing any issues with the delivery of your order.

    Candle Care

    To get the most out of your lovely candles we always like to share these candle rules so you can enjoy your candle for longer.

    1. BURN YOUR CANDLE UNTIL THE WAX MELT POOL REACHES THE EDGES OF YOUR CANDLE JAR.

    When lighting me, please ensure my melt pool always reaches the edges of my jar to prevent me from tunneling in the future.

    2. TRIM YOUR WICK BEFORE EVERY BURN!

    This one is SUPER important. Before lighting me again, please ensure you have trimmed my wick to around 1/4 inch or 0.6cm.

    3. AVOID EXCESSIVE BURN TIME.

    I should not burn for longer than 4 hours. But please burn me for long enough so my melt pool reaches the glass.

    4. CANDLE SAFETY, CANDLE SAFETY, AND CANDLE SAFETY.

    Never leave me burning unattended, I am not to be trusted alone! I always should be out of reach from children and pets at all times. Lastly, burn me on a stable, heat-resistant surface and avoid flammable surfaces.
